Peter Obi Condoles with Gov Eno Over Loss of Wife


Peter Obi, the former presidential candidate for the Labour Party, visited Uyo, the capital of Akwa Ibom State, to offer his condolences to Governor Umo Eno following the tragic loss of his wife, Pastor Mrs Patience Eno, the state’s First Lady.

Obi expressed his deep sorrow in a statement, saying, “Yesterday, I made a very solemn trip to Uyo to personally pay my last respects to the beloved wife of the Governor and First Lady of the state, Pastor Mrs. Patience Eno.”

He added, “I also used the occasion to offer my condolences to the Governor of the State, His Excellency Pastor Umo Eno, over the heartbreaking loss of his beloved wife.”

Acknowledging the difficulty of expressing grief in such moments, Obi reflected, “In moments of grief like this, words often fail us, but I hope the governor, his family, and the people of Akwa Ibom would find solace in the outpouring of love and support from all who share in their sorrow.”

Obi extended a message of support on behalf of his wife, Margaret, and the entire Obidient family, saying, “We stand with you in prayer, trusting that God will grant you the strength and fortitude to navigate these difficult times.”

Obi’s gesture of solidarity underscores the close ties and empathy shared between the former presidential candidate and the people of Akwa Ibom as they mourn the untimely passing of Pastor Mrs. Patience Eno.
