While Nigerians are caught up in the latest celebrity drama involving 2Baba and his now former wife Annie Idibia, TikToker Olumide Ogunsanwo, popularly known as SeaKing, has taken a different stance, calling out the misplaced priorities of the public.
In a fiery social media video, SeaKing berated Nigerians for obsessing over Innocent “2Baba” Idibia’s marital issues and rumoured ties with Edo lawmaker Natasha Osawaru while ignoring pressing national concerns.
“There is poverty in the land. MTN has increased their charges, everything is expensive. Nobody is complaining or shouting.
“The only thing you people have is energy to do all this useless celebrity work. You people don’t have sense. It’s 2Baba that is your problem. Celebrities are your problem. You are talking about celebrities every day, celebrity fights every time,” he ranted.
His frustration stems from the rising cost of living in Nigeria, including soaring fuel prices, electricity tariffs, and general economic hardship. Yet, according to him, many Nigerians would rather spend their time discussing celebrity controversies than demand accountability from the government.
“What happened to fuel that is expensive? What happened to the tariff that is going up? You people are not clamouring about it,” he questioned.
For SeaKing, this behavior reflects a deeper issue—an acceptance of hardship. “I wake up every day to see that Nigerians are very close to poverty. They like poverty. They smile and embrace poverty. Continue, mumu people,” he concluded.
