The performance of Elvis Ahorgah has earned him another opportunity to fight in the UK – Coach Adjei

Reactions reaching Yours Truly are of mixed feelings following reports that some Ghanaian boxing fans said Elvis Ahorgah aka Soldier Boxer did not perform well against Callum Simpson in their Commonwealth title bout in the UK on February 1.

According to Nii Oblie, a Ghanaian based in the UK who watched the bout  at ringside in Wembley, Elvis Ahorgah, the current best Super Middleweight boxer  in Ghana (now 13-3-0) did remarkably well because fighting for the first time at Wembley is not a joke, as the lighting system alone can even wear you down and demoralise you.

“The lights at Wembley are not like the one in Ghana, so we think Soldier Boxer did well contrary to reports by some people” Nii Oblie noted/

He said Soldier Boxer did well and has won many admirers as his display at the Press Conference prior to the fight, and after was overwhelming with him taking photos and signing autographs everywhere.

According to Nii Oblie otherwise known as ‘Ebusua” Soldier Boxer has rather won the hearts of many boxing fans in the UK and people keep on showing him love everywhere he goes and even getting invites.

“I tell you Elvis is the toast of fans here at the Hilton Hotel and even the Sky Sports people are happy with him” he expressed.

According to his trainer, Ebenezer Adjei aka Killer of the Black Panthers Gym in Accra, the performance of Elvis Ahorgah has earned him another opportunity to fight in the UK because he talks well and can create exciting moments, if he is acclimated to the weather and the culture.

He urged fans who do not often watch matches not to discourage boxers but encourage them as the game is not easy.

Elvis Ahorgah who is a good communicator said Boxing is Showbiz and the fight had to be hyped and he did exactly that to the admiration of TV crew and the promoter.
