Sharaf Mahama Graces Cabic Big Fight Night
… Presents WBO Africa Heavyweight Belt To ‘Saabo’
Sharaf Mahama, son of President John Dramani Mahama on Friday January 31, 2025 joined the WBO African Representative, Mr. Samir Captan to present the WBO Africa Heavyweight title belt to Ghana’s Osumanu Haruna aka ‘Saabo’ who defeated Nigerian Idris Akini in round seven of the scheduled10 rounder.
The main bout together with 16 others took place at the iconic Idrowhyt Events Centre at Dansoman.
Sharaf Mahama has shown love and support for his boxers, which include Ambitious Tilapia aka Abubakar Kamoko, son of Braimah Kamoko aka Bukom Banku, a former national and African Cruiserweight Champion.
Sharaf Mahama is CEO of Legacy Rise Promotions who are out to bring a new touch to Boxing and Entertainment.
He is also motivating Samuel Takyi to win and realise his dreams.
Meanwhile, the WBO Africa Representative Mr. Samir Captan has cautioned boxers to be disciplined to know why they are into boxing and what they can achieve. He warned that the WBO is only interested in quality boxers and quality bouts that brings out the best of boxers.
He advised boxers. coaches, managers, matchmakers and promoters not to engage in fixed bouts as it tarnishes the reputation of the game bringing it into disrepute.
