President should have fired Basintale for the stunt he pulled on his first day at work

Kwaku Osei Korankye Asiedu, popularly known as KOKA, is of the opinion that the President of Ghana should have sacked Maleek Basintale on his first day at work.

The Deputy Communications Director for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), now the Chief Executive Officer of the Youth Employment Agency, came under public scrutiny when he went with a convoy with street boys on his first day to his new office.

Ghanaians were shocked that Basintale continues to be in the campaign mood when elections are over and work needs to be done.

Speaking to KSS Media, Koka indicated that what Basintale did on his first day at work need not be encouraged.

He is of the view that the President should have shown him the exit from his government because the corporate world is a serious one.

“My problem is the president should have fired him immediately; he did what he did. My problem is that is where failure starts. The campaign period is over right now; it is work time. Ghana is gradually growing to realize that campaigning and government business are two distinct things,” he said.
