Nana Kwame Jantuah compares Akufo-Addo to Nebuchadnezzar in Bawumia loss

Radio personality Nana Kwame Jantuah has blamed former President Nana Akufo-Addo for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s defeat in the 2024 presidential elections.

Speaking in an interview with Akoto Mansa monitored by MyNewsGH, Jantuah reflected on his deep-rooted support for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and how his faith in the party was shaken by the actions of its leader.

“I was raised with NPP ideologies, and for a long time, they shaped my beliefs,” Jantuah admitted. “I have never voted for the National Democratic Congress (NDC).”

His loyalty to the party ran so deep that he, along with other devoted supporters, fasted and prayed for the success of the party and the leadership of Nana Akufo-Addo.

However, over time, he began to question his unwavering support. According to Jantuah, Akufo-Addo’s governance was marked by arrogance and a lack of vision, which ultimately affected Bawumia’s chances of winning the presidency.

“There came a time when Akufo-Addo exhibited arrogance and a lack of vision,” he noted.

Comparing the former president to the Biblical figure Nebuchadnezzar, Jantuah suggested that his leadership failures were preventable and directly contributed to Bawumia’s loss. “His preventable mistakes cost Bawumia in the electoral race,” he emphasized.
