In his early steps to establish a solid foundation for his presidency, John Dramani Mahama has submitted his first list of regional ministerial nominations to the Speaker of Parliament.
This list, covering ten regions of Ghana out of 16, is part of his effort to strengthen governance and foster effective regional leadership across the country.
The nominations reflect the President’s focus on selecting experienced leaders to oversee the governance of Ghana’s ten regions. The full list of nominees includes:
- Northern Region – Ali Adolf John
- Oti Region – John Kwadwo Gyapong
- Volta Region – James Gunu
- Eastern Region – Mrs. Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey
- North-East Region – Ibrahim Tia
- Ashanti Region – Dr. Frank Amoakohene
- Upper East – Akamugri Donatus Atanga
- Ahafo Region – Charity Gardiner
- Savannah Region – Lawyer Salisu Be-Awuribi
- Greater Accra Region – Linda Ocloo
