The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has announced a record-breaking revenue collection of N6.105 trillion for 2024, marking a significant 90.4% increase from the N3.2 trillion recorded in 2023.
Speaking during a press conference in Abuja on Tuesday, the Comptroller-General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, highlighted the service’s impressive performance, noting that the NCS exceeded its 2024 revenue target of N5.07 trillion by a remarkable 22%.
Adeniyi disclosed that October 2024 witnessed the highest monthly revenue remittance in NCS history, amounting to N603 billion.
“The Nigerian Customs Service recorded an unprecedented performance in 2024.
“Crossing new heights in trade facilitation and revenue collection, the service achieved N6.105 trillion, a testament to our improved strategies and operational efficiency,” Adeniyi stated.
