A socio-political organization, the South East Renewed Hope Agenda (SERHA), has called on “northern political hawks” allegedly gearing up for the 2027 presidential race to reconsider their ambitions, urging them to allow President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to complete his tenure.
In a statement titled “2027: It’s Tinubu or Nobody”, the South East Coordinator of SERHA, Belusochukwu Enwere, emphasized the group’s firm belief in Tinubu’s leadership.
He highlighted the President’s strides in addressing Nigeria’s socio-economic challenges and promoting governance stability.
“Although critics claim Tinubu has placed the economy on life support, others acknowledge his efforts to bring stability to governance.
“From our review of his nearly two years in office, it is evident that he has improved policy coordination and taken steps to address pressing issues,” Enwere stated.
He pointed to Tinubu’s recent visit to Enugu State to commission projects as evidence of his commitment to developing the South East geopolitical zone.
Enwere further praised Tinubu’s political will in tackling socio-economic challenges and fostering peace and security.
“For the northern political hawks seeking to unseat him in 2027, we advise they step aside and wait their turn. For Tinubu, it’s 4 + 4 = 8,” he declared.
SERHA pledged unwavering support for Tinubu’s reelection, vowing that their determination to back his leadership is a “battle of No Retreat, No Surrender.”
The group maintained that Tinubu’s vision to lift Nigeria and Africa out of poverty is proof that “there is no vacancy in Aso Rock come 2027.”
