Lil Baby’s “My Turn” is making history! The rapper’s 2020 project has officially been crowned the most popular rap album of the century based on its impressive Billboard chart performance. To put it simply, this album is a big deal.
On January 9, Billboard revealed its Top Billboard 200 Albums of the 21st Century list, which takes into account the performance of albums on the weekly Billboard 200 from January 1, 2000, to December 28, 2024. And guess what?
“My Turn” is sitting pretty at #8 overall, securing a spot among the biggest names in music, including Morgan Wallen, Taylor Swift, Adele, and Post Malone.
For a little perspective, “My Turn” beats out some serious competition, falling behind iconic albums like Taylor Swift’s Fearless and Adele’s 21, but still ahead of some of the industry’s heavyweights. And to make things even sweeter, Lil Baby isn’t alone.
Post Malone’s Hollywood’s Bleeding also ranks high, and Kendrick Lamar’s DAMN. is in the top 25.
What’s even more exciting for Lil Baby fans is that his new album, WHAM (Who Hard As Me), is expected to debut at No. 1, with a projected 115k-125k album equivalent units sold.
It’s clear that Lil Baby is on a roll, proving his place among hip hop’s elite.
