You’re playing bad politics, Tinubu’s aide blasts Bauchi governor over tax reform bills


The governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed has been accused of playing “bad politics” concerning the controversial tax reform bills proposed by President Bola Tinubu.

The allegation was levelled against Governor Mohammed by the special adviser to the president on media and public communications, Sunday Dare.

Dare further advised the governor to desist from attacking the president and focus on redeeming his dwindling image.

In a statement issued on Thursday, Dare said the governor is wrong to politicise the proposed tax reform bills.

According to Dare, the Tinubu’s administration is focused on issued of development and how to improve the well-being of citizens.

He said, “On the Tax Reform Bills, the President was clear that anyone and groups that feel strongly about this matter now before the National Assembly should take advantage of the legislative process.

“Attempts to stampede or abort this process must be regarded as undemocratic and self-serving,” the president’s aide said.
