Amid ongoing challenges in the energy sector, President John Dramani Mahama has assured Ghanaians that his administration is committed to ensuring a consistent and uninterrupted power supply.
Speaking at the 92nd National Convention of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission in Pomadze, Winneba, Mahama addressed the concerns of the public, reiterating his government’s proactive stance on resolving the energy crisis.
“We understand the frustration, and I want to assure you, my brothers and sisters, don’t despair,” Mahama said, offering reassurance in the face of persistent energy issues.
“You elected us to solve the problems, not to blame anyone else.” His words echoed the commitment of his government to take responsibility and address the country’s energy challenges head-on.
Mahama explained that his administration is already exploring solutions. “Today, I called a meeting of all the stakeholders in the electricity value chain,” he said.
“They have been sitting since yesterday to come up with innovative solutions.” This collaborative effort, according to the president, is focused on identifying practical ways to stabilize the energy sector and prevent further disruptions.
Highlighting the collaborative nature of these discussions, Mahama expressed confidence that progress was being made.
“I can assure you, with some of the ideas they’ve come up with, we will make sure your lights stay on,” he added.
