The National Democratic Congress’ Baba Sadiq has assured his followers and constituents of fighting to ensure that the mandate of the people of Okaikwei Central stands.
He is of the firm view that he won the elections, and the re-collation that declared Patrick Boamah as Member of Parliament elect will not stand.
Baba Sadiq, who made this known in a post shared via social media, said, “Whatever it will take, whatever extent possible, the true mandate of the people of Okaikwei Central will stand. Just a matter of time.”
Baba Sadiq was declared the winner in the Okaikwei Central Parliamentary elections.
However, a re-collation done at the old office of the Electoral Commission on Saturday, December 21, 2024, declared NPP’s Patrick Boamah as MP-elect.
Boamah secured 21,099 votes, while Sadiq garnered 19,368 of the total votes cast.
