Police stopped me multiple times from repairing Avenor roads

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Presidential Candidate for Okaikoi South, Ernest Adomako, has revealed that he was repeatedly stopped by the police severally while attempting to repair the Avenor roads and railway.

In an interview on Onua FM, Ernest Adomako expressed concern over the deteriorating state of the roads in Avenor, noting that many drivers have abandoned the route due to its poor state.

Recalling his previous attempts to address the issue, Adomako explained how two years ago, he tried to repair some damaged gutters but members of the NPP intervened, claiming that the Municipal Assembly had already been allocated funds for the repairs.

He also recounted an incident in 2023, when he attempted to fix the roads and railway again. According to Adomako, a group of police officers arrived at the scene and stopped him from continuing the work.

“I have made several attempts to repair the roads and railway at Avenor, but each time, I was stopped by the police,” Adomako said. “I even hired machines to work on the road, but the police came to stop me. I have video evidence to support this.”
