Today, December 18, 2024, the Transition team of President-elect John Dramani Mahama announced a five-member committee to lead Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL).
The statement announcing the team indicated that the president-elect is ready to hit the ground running with all his promises, including the fight against corruption.
The list has been widely accepted by Ghanaians who think it is about time public officers are made to be accountable.
However, the absence of Malik Basintale who has been propagating ORAL through the NDC’s campaign has been questioned.
Ghanaians believe that he needs to be given a role in the quest to deal with corrupt public officials.
Here are some reactions via social media:
Malik Basintale should be made the spokesperson of this team. His motivation and momentum should be commended.
My only reservation. pic.twitter.com/4F57Q4b7Q2
