NPP Under Bawumia Would Have Achieved 7% Growth

Richard Ahiagbah, the Director of Communications for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has confidently stated that Dr Mahamudu Bawumia would have successfully restored Ghana’s economy to pre-COVID levels if he had been elected.

During an interview with Citi FM, Ahiagbah highlighted that the current positive economic indicators demonstrate the potential for recovery under Dr. Bawumia’s leadership.

He explained, “The growth we are witnessing this year serves as evidence that, given time, the NPP government under Bawumia would have restored the economy to the pre-COVID era, where we were experiencing an average growth of 7%. This was achievable.”

Ahiagbah also compared the economic management capabilities of the NPP and the National Democratic Congress (NDC), asserting that the NPP has consistently outperformed the NDC in this regard.

He remarked, “When you compare the economic management of the NPP and the NDC, the NPP’s performance stands out.

The NDC’s record in this area pales in comparison to the NPP, which has consistently done much better.”
