President Kurt E.S Okraku in attendance as Ghana outclass Benin in WAFU B U17 Girls Cup opener


WAFU B President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku was in attendance as Ghana thrashed Benin 4-1 in the opening match of the WAFU B U17 Girls Cup, which got underway at the Technical Centre of the Ghana Football Association,  on Thursday December 12, 2024.

The President exchanged pleasantries with officials of WAFU B and got briefing from the Local Organising Committee as he arrived at  the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence.

He was met on arrival by the Executive Director of WAFU B, Philippe Tchere and Technical Center Director, Winnifred Mawudeku.

President Simeon-Okraku watched on as Ghana’s Black Maidens overpowered Benin 4-1 in an entertaining opening match. He also watched as Nigeria demolished Niger 9-0 in Thursday’s opening Group B game.

President Kurt Okraku attended the match in the company of Vice-President Mark Addo and Executive Council members Samuel Aboabire and Eugene Nobel Noel.

Black Maidens management committee chairman, who also doubles as an Executive Council member, Nana Sarfo Oduro, as well as vice-chairman of the Juvenile Committee, Joe Abu Salam, were all in attendance at the GFA Technical centre.
