Kofi Amankwa-Manu, the Deputy Minister for Defence, has come out strongly in support of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s transformative digitization initiatives, highlighting how they have revolutionized Ghana’s business landscape.
In a passionate address on Oyerepa TV, Amankwa-Manu explained that Bawumia’s efforts have made it possible for Ghanaians to engage in business transactions at any time of day or night from the comfort of their homes or businesses.
“Dr. Bawumia’s digitization initiative has transformed how Ghanaians engage in business. Today, transactions can be done via mobile phones anytime, anywhere. This is the real policy innovation that matters,” he shared, emphasizing the importance of this shift in how business is conducted in Ghana.
According to Amankwa-Manu, Bawumia’s policies, including advancements in mobile banking and the expansion of mobile money services, are far more impactful than any traditional or outdated proposals.
“What Bawumia has achieved is far more significant than any outdated policy proposals. It allows Ghanaians to transact from the comfort of their homes or businesses at any time of the day or night. This is the future of Ghana’s economy,” he emphasized, making a clear distinction between the NPP’s forward-thinking approach and other political platforms.
He further expressed that the focus of the NPP is not on fleeting promises made during an election year but on creating sustainable systems that will benefit Ghanaians in the long run.
“We’re not just looking to the past with empty promises. We’re creating systems that will benefit Ghanaians in the long run, not just during an election year,” Amankwa-Manu said, underscoring the NPP’s commitment to the country’s future.
