Black Galaxies beat Togo 2-0 in friendly ahead of CHAN qualifier against Nigeria


The Black Galaxies recorded a 2-0 win over Togo in an international friendly on Tuesday December 11, 2024, as part of  preparations for the 2024 CHAN qualifier against Nigeria.

Asante Kotoko forward Albert Amoah opened the scoring as early as the 3rd minute before Yakubu Issah added the second in the 27th minute at the Stade de Kegue in Lome, Togo.

Coach Mas Ud Didi Dramani has been trimming the rough edges of his team ahead of the crucial qualifier against Nigeria this month.

The match forms part of latest preparations for the test against the West African rivals in a two-legged ties.

The first leg of the tie takes place on Sunday, December 22, in Ghana, before the return leg comes off on Saturday, December 28, 2024, in Nigeria.

Ghana eliminated Nigeria to secure qualification to the last edition of the CHAN tournament in Algeria after a post-match penalty shootout following a 2-2 aggregate scoreline.
