The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has called on party members to put aside any blame and instead focus on unity in order to secure victory in the 2028 elections.
In his first speech following his defeat, Dr. Bawumia told party supporters that although the pain of the loss is evident, it is important to understand that God’s plans are beyond human comprehension.
He urged everyone to remain calm and refrain from blaming anyone for the outcome.
“I see that everyone is in pain. We are all in pain. But I believe we cannot question the will of God.
“Let us stop the blame game. It’s enough. We need to stay united so that, with a shared goal, we can win the 2028 elections,” Dr. Bawumia stated.
He stressed that unity within the party is key to the possibility of victory in 2028, encouraging all members to work together towards that common objective.
