Farouk Lawan, a former member of the House of Representatives who was released from the pros on in October had visited his constituency for the first time.
Lawan during his first visit to Bagwai/Shanono Federal Constituency said his incarceration was a test from God who h taught him an important lesson about life.
Wearing a red cap with an insignia of the Kwankwasiyya movement led by Rabiu Kwankwaso, the former lawmaker was received by the district head, Shehu Ahmed.
Accompanied by his supporters, Lawan, said his visit was not political.
He said he come home to but to express gratitude for the community’s goodwill during his difficult time in prison.
Lawan stated that his sentencing was like the story of Prophet Yusuf (Joseph), who rose to prominence after imprisonment.
