Member of Parliament(MP) for North Tongu Constituency, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has assured Ghanaians that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will be held accountable for their crimes and misdeeds.
Speaking at the launch of the NDC’s campaign earlier today, Okudzeto Ablakwa accused President Akufo-Addo of imposing Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on the country in a bid to evade accountability for the mismanagement of Ghana’s economy.
“Operation Recover All Loot is coming,” Okudzeto Ablakwa declared. “They will pay for the state capture, the waste of state resources, and the corruption. Everyone who has hidden their loot will be forced to account for it. The NPP will be held accountable for their crimes and atrocities against the Ghanaian people.”
He further emphasized that an NDC government would put an end to what he referred to as the “Cecilia Dapaah syndrome” and ensure that the NPP faces the consequences of their actions.
Okudzeto Ablakwa also boldly stated that President Akufo-Addo would not be shielded by any individual or institution for imposing his “puppet” Dr. Bawumia on the people of Ghana.
Recalling Akufo-Addo’s promises to protect the public purse, he lamented that instead of fiscal prudence, the public’s money has been misused.
He also pointed to Dr. Bawumia’s claims that the era of single-sourcing and inflated contracts would end, yet he presided over the awarding of a $200 million contract to a company owned by his brother, Resource Access Limited, through dubious single-sourcing practices.
