156 stranded Nigerians return home from Libya [VIDEO]


156 Nigerians stranded in Libya have been successfully repatriated to the country.

The move was led by the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) in collaboration with the International Organization for Migration (IOM).

The group arrived at Lagos’ Murtala Muhammed International Airport on an Al-Buraq Airline flight at approximately 7:15 pm on Tuesday, December 3.

Among the returnees were 77 adult males, 67 adult females, 7 children, and 5 infants.

Upon arrival, the Nigerian Immigration Service conducted biometric profiling, while various stakeholders, including NCFRMI, NAPTIP, FAAN, and the police, provided essential assistance to ensure their safety and well-being.
