The Director of Communications and External Relations for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Joshua Adjin-Tettey, has issued a strong caution to the Electoral Commission (EC) regarding the illegal sharing of snapshots of thumb-printed ballot papers by some voters.
In an interview with Onua FM, Joshua Tettey emphasized the importance of voters conducting themselves responsibly and prioritizing the nation’s interest over political affiliations.
He expressed concern over the viral circulation of images showing individuals taking photos of their marked ballots.
“This special voting process is not just any ordinary voting; it includes journalists, EC officials, security personnel, and other key stakeholders.
If such actions are occurring within this group, it raises serious questions about what might happen on December 7th. The EC must immediately condemn this illegal activity,” he stated.
Tettey also called on the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to denounce the actions of some police officers who were involved in sharing photos of their votes at the polling stations, urging a unified stance against such misconduct.
