Deputy Attorney General-designate, Dr. Justice Srem-Sai, has emphasized that Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) is not a political gimmick but a long-term initiative aimed at justice and financial recovery for Ghana.
Speaking on JoyNews’ Newsfile, he made it clear that ORAL was not just another government committee with no real impact.
“This is not just another committee set up for show; ORAL is a long-term government project,” Dr. Srem-Sai stated.
The initiative, launched under the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government, seeks to recover stolen state funds and assets while holding individuals accountable for financial misconduct.
Addressing concerns that the project could be used for political persecution, Dr. Srem-Sai dismissed such claims.
“This is about justice and financial recovery, not political witch-hunting,” he stressed.
He urged all Ghanaians to support the initiative, emphasizing its potential benefits for the entire country.
“The success of ORAL will benefit all Ghanaians, and we must work together to ensure it achieves its intended objectives,” he added.
