Alidu Seidu slams NDC’s alleged lawlessness and security failures

Hon. Alidu Seidu has raised concerns over the security situation under the new Mahama administration, pointing to incidents where NDC supporters allegedly stormed state institutions, forcibly removed workers, and disrupted operations.

“We all saw what happened in the early days after their victory. NDC supporters unlawfully invaded public offices, broke doors, dismissed workers, and created chaos—all because they thought power belonged to them and they could do as they pleased,” he said.

Alidu further condemned what he described as a lack of proper leadership in handling national security issues.

He warned that such actions could set a dangerous precedent for governance in the country.

He also criticized the recent unrest surrounding the election of the Council of State, particularly at the Regional Coordinating Council, questioning the NDC’s ability to manage national affairs if they struggled with internal processes.

“If this is how they intend to rule for the next four years, then we are in trouble. A government that cannot maintain order from day one has already failed,” he declared.

With rising political tensions, Alidu’s statements add to the growing criticism of the Mahama administration’s handling of governance and security in its early days.
