Coup Plotting: Ghana has a loyal, dedicated Armed Forces

Former Defence Minister, Dominic Nitiwul has hailed Ghana’s Armed Forces for their dedication to the country.

Dominic Nitiwul was speaking about the possibility of a coup being staged in Ghana when he showered praise on the Ghana Armed Forces.

To him, the military personnel are aware of the country’s financial standing and the effort put in place to ensure that their needs are met.

Therefore, they will not want to move to hurt the country, as they are equally aware that the global economy is struggling too.

“Do you think Burkina did not have so many radio stations? Guinnea did not have radio stations or Mali did not have radio stations? They have so many radio stations, so why didn’t the radio stations save them?

There are so many things that can happen. What I feel is that you should have a loyal, dedicated Armed Forces that will stand and fight for the country regardless of who comes,” he told Asempa FM.

He continued, “I am not God, but I’m almost certain that we have a dedicated Armed Forces. For accommodation issues and other challenges they face, the soldiers are aware that Ghana cannot provide everything at once. They know the country’s economy is struggling, however, they are aware of similar challenges elsewhere and so they are okay because the government is doing its best to provide them accommodation and others they need”.
