All other useless anti-corruption bodies must be dissolved

A Vice President of Policy Think Tank, IMANI Africa, Kofi Bentil, has suggested that instead of recovering loot in Ghana, measures must be put in place to prevent the looting.

He believes that it is better to prevent the looting from happening rather than find ways to retrieve or recover loot.

Making this position known in a post shared via social media, Kofi Bentil also suggested that it is about time the government dissolves the other “useless anti-corruption bodies.”

His view shared via social media read “Ghana needs ORAL. Just change the R to P ie Prevent!!. I pray they succeed and indeed pray they are retained in some form. That said please dissolve the other useless anti-corruption bodies!! And let charity begin at home”.

On Monday, February 10, 2025, the Five-Member ORAL Team led by Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa presented their final report to the President of Ghana.

They explained that the report contains 2,417 complaints that will need to be looked at by the Attorney General.

The President received the report and handed it over to the Attorney General, who has been charged to investigate the complaints and data provided by the ORAL Team.
