GPL must be run by an Independent body—Kotoko, Hearts of Oak proposes

Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak have presented their proposal for reforms in the Ghana Premier League to the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

The two biggest football clubs in Ghana are demanding the Ghana Premier League should be made autonomous and run by an independent body and not the football association.

On security, they are demanding that the number of police personnel deployed for category A and B matches should be at least 100.

However, 20 Military men should be deployed to Category A matches and some Category B matches with a high risk of danger.

They argue that security personnel deployed to the various stadiums must be from other stations in the region and not from the locality where the match venue is.
