“Tems’ ‘Higher’ and ‘Free Mind’ go platinum


Tems continues her record-breaking streak as Free Mind earns 2X platinum certification from the RIAA, surpassing 2 million sales in the U.S.

The hit single also enjoyed a strong 26-week run on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at No. 46.

Her breakout EP For Broken Ears has now produced two platinum records, with Higher crossing the 1 million sales mark.

Meanwhile, Found, her collaboration with Brent Faiyaz, and Me & U, the standout single from her debut album Born In The Wild, have both been certified gold.

This comes days after clinched her second Grammy Award, winning Best African Music Performance for her track “Love Me JeJe” at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards held on February 2, 2025, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

The victory marked a significant milestone in Tems’ career, following her previous win in 2023 for “Wait For You” alongside Future and Drake.

Her song “Love Me JeJe” is a modern rendition of Seyi Sodimu’s 1997 classic, blending Afrobeats and R&B to showcase her unique musical style.
