Not every minister needs a deputy – Sam George Backs Mahama’s Approach

Samuel Nartey George has reaffirmed his trust in President John Mahama’s approach to structuring his administration, emphasizing that ministerial appointments are being made with careful consideration of efficiency and effectiveness.

The Minister for Communications, Digitalisation, and Innovation stated, “I am fully convinced in the decision-making of President Mahama that he will get a spot or he will give deputies to ministers who he believes require the same.

For those who don’t, there will be an architecture to support them to do the work that they do,” he said in an interview on JoyNews’ Newsfile.

His remarks come amid ongoing discussions about the structure of Mahama’s government and the expectations surrounding his ministerial appointments.

On the same show, Sam George commended the president’s deep sense of conviction and introspection, which he believes have shaped key decisions, particularly in selecting his ministerial team.

“President Mahama is a man of conviction, he has a lot of introspection and reflection,” George stated, emphasizing that Mahama’s leadership is marked by deliberate decision-making.
