Abuse of power forced expatriates in Ghana to campaign against NPP

Member of Parliament for Old Tafo in the Ashanti Region, Ekow Vincent Assafuah Esq has noted that expatriates who were businessmen and women campaigned massively against the New Patriotic Party government.

According to him, this was because some people who contributed nothing to the political party’s electoral success were given positions of influence, and they used the power to harass others instead of helping.

“The International Community, the Chinese, Indians, and all those people had to campaign against this party because certain people who had power used the power to abuse these people. If I am a Chinese and I have about 800 workers, and when I go there, they tell me that we voted against you because of how they treated our boss.

These people who had power did not even come down to campaign. Show of machoism, show of national security. How could we complain about these things? There are some of them I didn’t see anyway but there were some that came to the fore after the elections. The people who had these appointments were arrogant.
