Minister-Designate for Sports, Kofi Adams, has indicated that he is not aware of the involvement of the government in their decision to keep Otto Addo.
The Ghana Football Association announced early this week that it has revamped the technical team of the senior national team, the Black Stars.
The decision brings in a technical advisor and other assistant coaches to support Otto Addo in performing his duties as coach.
But speaking on Accra-based Sporty FM, Kofi Adams indicated that he has reached out to the transition team to ask whether they were consulted, but he did not get a positive answer.
He indicated that he would be meeting the Chief of Staff to be aware if he was consulted on the decision to revamp the Black Stars technical team.

“At the time the executive council took that decision, the President had not announced my name as the Sports Minister-designate. Following the announcement, I have had engagements with persons who were within the transitional team who were working in sports-related areas. None of them has indicated to me of their involvement or or approach by the executive council in relation to whether the head coach must stay or not stay and who is being added or not added.
I have yet to speak to the chief of staff directly to find out because he was one of the first persons to be announced by His Excellency the President as an officer that if they were taking any such decision since we didn’t have Ministers-designate. If they didn’t want to deal with the transition team at least the chief of staff was available. So I am yet to meet the chief of staff whether there was any engagement with him at all and what his answers were that is if they did have an engagement,” he said.
