Margaret Ansei appointed acting CEO of Ghana Enterprises Agency


President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Margaret Ansei, popularly known as Magoo, as the Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana Enterprises Agency (GEA).

Her appointment, effective January 27, 2025, reflects the government’s confidence in her ability to lead the GEA and build on its track record of empowering entrepreneurs across Ghana.

Ms. Ansei, a former Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Suhum in the Eastern Region, is renowned for her impactful leadership and dedication to community development.

As Acting CEO of the GEA, Margaret Ansei is entrusted with steering the agency to fulfill its critical mandate of supporting micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) which are the backbone of Ghana’s economy.

Her leadership is expected to drive innovative initiatives, capacity-building programs, and financial support for small businesses, fostering economic growth and creating employment opportunities nationwide.

The Ghana Enterprises Agency remains pivotal in promoting and developing MSMEs, and Margaret Ansei’s extensive experience positions her well to lead the agency in achieving its mission of fostering entrepreneurship and driving sustainable growth.
