On Tuesday, January 21, the governor of Edo State, Monday Okpebholo has assigned portfolios to the six commissioners sworn in by the state
The governor in a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Musa Ikhilor said the designation of appointment for the commissioners is key to their immediate assumption of duty in their various offices.
Tasking the commissioners of dedication to duty, the governor said their appointment is not just an honour but a commitment to serve the people of Edo State.
He said, “You have been chosen because of your skills and the trust we have in your ability to contribute meaningfully to the development of our state.”
He further called for team work while urging the commissioners to stay focused on improving the lives of the people of the state.

3. Emmanuel Paddy Iyamu – Ministry of Education

5. Andrew Ijegbai – Ministry of Mining
6. Marie Olabisi-Idaomi – Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development.
