In his maiden meeting with staff members at the National Lottery Authority (NLA), Acting Director-General Mohammed Abdul Salam set a tone of collaboration and mutual growth as he stepped into his new role.
Speaking with humility and openness, he assured the team that his goal is not to impose, but to learn and grow alongside them.
“I’m here to listen and learn from you,” he stated. “Your experience and insights are invaluable. Together, we can bring fresh ideas that align with our shared vision for the NLA.”
Abdul Salam takes over from Sammi Awuku, who recently resigned as Director-General to dedicate his efforts to his constituents after being re-elected as Member of Parliament(MP) in the Akuapim North Constituency.
Recognizing the legacy left behind, Abdul Salam emphasized that his approach will be gradual innovation, ensuring changes align with the organization’s collective objectives.
He encouraged staff members to share their suggestions and expertise, underscoring the importance of teamwork.
“Our success is intertwined. If I succeed, we all succeed. If there are challenges, we face them together,” he remarked, highlighting the shared responsibility for the organization’s progress.
