Oriyomi Hamzat, the proprietor of Agidigbo FM in Ibadan, Oyo state was in tears following his release from prison on Tuesday, January 14.
Hamzat, one of the suspects linked to the children’s Christmas party that led to the death of 35 kids was released after meeting his bail conditions.
He was released from Agodi Correctional Centre alongside his co-suspects, the ex-queen of the Ooni of Ife, Naomi Silekunola and the principal of Islamic High School, Basorun, Ibadan, Abdullahi Fasasi.
Following their release, Hamzat was welcomed by a massive crowd and was thrown to tears over the support from his fans.
Speaking to his supports Hamzat said he was back but would remain silent.
He said, “Oriyomi is back. At this time, I am in a moment of silence. Thank you very much.”
