President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, has assured the people of Bawku that he will prioritize their peace and ensure that they are not challenged as president.
He made this known when he paid a visit to the palace of the Bawku Naaba Zug-Raan Naba Azoka II.
To him, Ghana needs peace because the citizens should feel safe to go about their duties and that is what he will ensure.
“I will appeal to you to exercise patience and restraint and to let you know that I am apprised of the issues and I’m going to deal with it. I can assure you, have trust in this administration that by the grace of God permanent peace is going to come back to Bawku,” he said.
We cannot live in a country where our people don’t feel safe. Our people must feel safe to travel wherever they want at whatever time and not have people shooting at them. And so you can be sure that we will deal with all these situations so that we all can have the peace that we need in order that our traditional areas may progress,” he said.
President John Dramani Mahama hinted at appointing security ministers and capos this week whose major priority will be to ensure that there is peace in Bawku.
