Associate Professor of Education at Central State University, Prof Kwabena Dei Ofori Attah, has urged President John Dramani Mahama to fix the challenges he inherited rather than continue the blame game.
He is of the view that the people of Ghana brought him back because they believe in his capabilities and ability to surmount every challenge the country has so he should stop pointing fingers and work to address the challenges of the Ghanaian people.
Prof Kwabena Dei Ofori Attah was speaking on Accra-based OKAY FM when he made this known.
“Never ever blame NPP, nobody will accept it. NPP is a defeated dog, a bitten dog, a humiliated power. They want to come back as early as 2028 so if Mahama wants to succeed, he should forget about the problems and move ahead.
In his first 120 days of social contract with the people, I didn’t see any program for his nkokonkitinkiti. We have not seen his promise to reduce the prices of goods and services in the country. He should ensure he fulfils the promises to the people of Ghana and stop the blame game.
They won power by blaming everybody. They blamed the EC, they blamed this and that but enough is enough. Now they have the power do not entertain them. They have the power period. They can go to the world bank to take a loan because this is not the first time Mahama is taking over power. He is experienced and knows the problems of the country so he should focus and get the work done,” he said.
The Mahama administration has hinted of a looming power crisis because the outgone government failed to procure enough fuel to generate power.
The Chief of Staff on January 8, 2025 had an emergency meeting with handlers of the sector after which a committee was put in place to help address the issues and provide lasting solutions.
