Ghana’s President, John Dramani Mahama, has assured the people of Ghana that he will strengthen public health systems in Ghana.
He believes that if work is done on the public health systems in the country, when pandemics strike, the country will be ready and the loss will be minimal.
John Dramani Mahama made this known when he addressed the people of Ghana during his inauguration on January 7, 2024.
“My government will work diligently to strengthen our public health systems while monitoring the global health situation so that when the next pandemic or epidemic occurs, the loss will be minimal,” he said.
Apart from strengthening public health systems, John Dramani Mahama called the people of Ghana to join him in rebuilding the nation.
“We need a reset of faith- in our country, in our institutions, and in ourselves,” he said.
Adding “You are Ghana, I am Ghana. Together, we make this country. Let us enter into a covenant to build the Ghana we all desire,”,
