It’s possible—Julius Debrah champions hope under Mahama’s new administration

Ghana’s newly appointed Chief of Staff Julius Debrah, has passionately called on Ghanaians to embrace optimism about the nation’s future under the incoming administration.

Debrah emphasized the team’s readiness to face challenges with determination and a proactive approach, laying the groundwork for a presidency prioritising accountability and results.

Speaking during an interaction with the press, Debrah expressed confidence in Mahama’s leadership style, describing it as one centred on active engagement and diligence.

“Basically, I want to give everybody hope—it’s hope, hope, and the question is, is it possible? Yes, it’s possible when you have the right people who are determined to make things happen,” he remarked.

Debrah highlighted Mahama’s commitment to staying informed and involved, referencing practices during his previous tenure as President.

“And knowing President-elect Mahama, for example, when we were in office, almost every week, each minister was supposed to report to him personally.

He picks up a chat with you and asks you questions about where you were with an assignment given to you. I believe we are going to go the same way, we’re not going to change from that,” Debrah explained, underscoring the administration’s hands-on governance approach.

This statement comes amid heightened expectations from Ghanaians, who are looking for decisive leadership to tackle pressing national issues.
