Burkina Faso’s president was one of the invited guests at the inauguration of President John Dramani Mahama.
At 34, Ibrahim Traoré, a Burkinabé military officer, has been the leader of Burkina Faso since the September 20, 2022, coup d’état that ousted interim president Paul-Henri Sandaogo Damiba.

John Dramani Mahama will be inaugurated today as the president of Ghana.
He will be Ghana’s 6th president under the Fourth Republic.
John Dramani Mahama is, however, coming in for his second term after he failed to win the 2016 elections.
John Dramani Mahama, 66, is expected to tackle familiar challenges, including corruption, high unemployment, inflation and public discontent.
