“Desperate” Dampare slammed for directing traffic at the Mahama’s inauguration

The Inspector General of Police George Akuffo Dampare PhD, has been slammed for leaving his car to direct traffic when his presence was needed at the venue of the event.

The Inspector General of Police (IGP), George Akufo Dampare, had to step out of his car to direct vehicular traffic while en route to Black Star Square.

Photos and videos posted on social media showed the IGP in his charismatic element, doing what he loves best.

Some roads were closed due to the inauguration of President-elect John Dramani Mahama, which created traffic concerns.

But commenting on the move by the IGP, Dr. Benjamin Kwasi Agordzo, a retired Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) could not fathom why the police chief will have to leave the August event to direct traffic when he could have delegated his men and trust them to do the work.

His post shared via social media read “This is what happens when an IGP fails to delegate. This is what happens when an IGP. This is what happens when an IGP is never satisfied with theceffortsvof his subbordinates. This is what happens when an IGP is acting to catch the eyes of new political leaders. This is what an IGP does when he’s afraid to be changed”.
