Swedru All Blacks beat Soccer Intellectuals to maintain unbeaten run, Sekondi Rospak SC humble Eleven Wise in Zone Two


Sekondi Rospak SC humbled city rivals Eleven Wise in an emphatic 4-0 victory at the Akoon Park. Francis Havor scored in the 40th minute to give Rospak SC a goal advantage at halftime. Back from recess, Derrick Asare Junior doubled the lead for the home side in the 71st minute, followed by Joseph Ntow Ansah’s 79th-minute goal, while Memphis Boadi added to the tally in stoppage time to seal the victory for Rospak SC. Rospak SC remain second in the Zone Two table with 26 points – four points behind Swedru All Blacks who are on 30 points after 12 matches in the Access Bank Division One League.

Meanwhile Former Premier League side New Edubiase United thrashed Future Stars 4-1 at the Len Clay Sports Stadium. Philip Amoh scored from the spot in the 4th minute to give New Edubiase an early lead, followed by Atta Sekyere’s own goal in the 16th minute, while Philip Amoh scored again in the 22nd minute before Abdulai Suleman added the 4th goal in the 39th minute for New Edubiase United. After the break, Samuel Kwarteng scored a consolation goal in the 88th minute for Future Stars.

At the Senya District Astro Turf, leaders Swedru All Blacks clinched their third victory away from home this season as they piped Soccer Intellectuals 1-0. Rudolf Mensah scored a brilliant goal in the 26th minute to help Swedru All Blacks secure all the points.
