Real Tamale United drop points against Tamale City in Zone One of Access Bank Division One League


Wa Power SC secured their third consecutive win this season, defeating Northern City 2-1 at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium on Saturday. Israel Iddrisu broke the deadlock in the 63rd minute, but Osman Zakaria equalized for Northern City in the 90th minute. However, Nafiu Musah scored the winner two minutes later for Wa Power SC, securing the three points.

In Zone One B – Techiman Heroes’ struggles continued with their fourth consecutive defeat, losing 3-0 to city rivals Techiman Eleven Wonders at the Ohene Ameyaw Park. Kenneth Boakye Owusu opened the scoring in the 6th minute, followed by Frank Awere’s goal in the 44th minute. Amos Opoku Annor sealed the win for Wonders a minute later as they strolled to a comfortable win.

In the Tamale derby, League leaders Real Tamale United shared the spoils with Tamale City in a fiercely contested 1-1 draw on Sunday. Sheriff Salifu scored for Tamale City in the 12th minute, but Abdul Rashid equalized for Real Tamale United in the 47th minute to give his side a vital point against their City rivals.
