Gold Stars is back into second place in the Premier League after a comfortable 2-0 win over Berekum Chelsea at home on Saturday January 4, 2025.
Frimpong Manso’s team overcame the Berekum-based side to leapfrog Hearts of Oak and remain on point with league leaders Heart of Lions.
Gideon Anaba put the home team ahead in the 72nd minute before an own goal from Seidu Mohammed in the 8th minute helped the Miners to the dominant win at the Duns Park.
There was little response throughout from Berekum Chelsea who suffered their fifth defeat of the season.
While Gold Stars have jumped to second, Chelsea remain in mid-table.
