Former Black Stars Captain, Asamoah Gyan has disclosed that Adre Ayew was brainwashed against him.
According to him, Andre Ayew has genuine love for him, but people around painted a bad picture of him to Andre hence the seeming rift between them.
Asamoah Gyan made this known on social media while addressing critics who constantly accuse him of having a negative feelings towards Andre Ayew.
“You people are the ones who cause the problems. Andre when he sees me he has that genuine love inside. But because he’s been brainwashed…People want to gain from them so they tell him you can do it, Asamoah is like this and that is what has brought those so called rivalry. For me I am nobody’s rival. If you hear me talk about Andre, then it means I’ve been provoked. This is the time we have to come together and this is how Ghana will benefit,” he said in a livestream.
Gyan, who is Ghana’s all-time top scorer, lost his captaincy role to Ayew ahead of 2019 Africa Cup of Nations staged in Egypt — a tournament that Ghana were kicked out at the Round of 16 by Tunisia in Alexandria on penalties.
