MyNewsGh.com has learnt that the National Council of the New Patriotic Party have decided to maintain its leadership in Parliament.
According to our source close to the party’s NEC, the decision to maintain the leadership in the next parliament is because of the experience garnered over the years.
This means that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) caucus in Parliament will be led by Alexander Afenyo-Markin.
The decision to maintain Afenyo Markin and other leaders in the 9th parliament is to allow for peace and effective management of parliamentary affairs.
The leadership of the minority in the 9th Parliament are as follows:
- Alexander Afenyo-Markin as Minority Leader.
- Patricia Apiagyei as Deputy Minority Leader.
- Frank Annoh-Dompreh as Chief Whip.
- Habib Iddrisu as First Deputy Minority Whip.
- Davis Opoku as Second Deputy Minority Whip.
