Ariport Company Limited defends closure of McDan’s private jet terminal; details $4 million arrears


Ghana Airport Company Limited has defended the closure of McDan’s private jet terminal at the Kotoka International Airport.

According to the company, McDan Aviation defaulted on a payment plan they had agreed on, and they were left with no option but to lockdown the facility and demand full payment of their debt.

They explained that out of the $3995,622.66 owed them, McDan made only Ghc 2 million payment

The Airport Company Limited disclosed it is not backing down on its debt retrieval.

Meanwhile, the statement from the Airport Company Limited clarified that even though McDan Aviation claims some of the lands the airport gave them are under litigation, they have developed commercial buildings on such lands.
