Krontihene of Akyem Asoum, Nana Boadi Amponim Obo-dade III has indicated how grateful he is for a change in government.
He is of the view that the country’s resources were looted by looters for the past eight years.
However, there is hope because the lord has blessed the country with another leader who is coming in to streamline things and retrieve all the money the country has lost to the looters.
Apart from the loot, Nana Boadi Amponim Obo-dade III could not hide his joy with the defeat of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2024 elections considering the disrespect some chiefs had to suffer at the hands of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
He prayed that the country would not have a president like Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo ever in her history.
Addressing the media, Nana Boadi Amponim Obo-dade III said “as it is in Luke Chapter 9, Ghana has been stripped naked, mother Ghana is bleeding, the robbers have stole, they have stolen all the goodies so a good samaritan has come to rescue her and put her in a good, healthy and happy situation and also recover the loot that the robbers took”.
“It was quite clear but people just didn’t realize it. Some of us are happy that his reign is over. A lot of the chiefs are happy. A good friend of mine who is also a chief told me once that let’s see if he will come around and instruct chiefs to wakeup and greet him. It is not a good legacy, he could have done more, he had so much revenue, he had so much he could have done for this country and so we pray we don’t get another Akufo-Addo to be president of Ghana,”
